Lush is encouraging shoppers to visit stores in pyjamas this World Sleep Day for free treat

Lush is inviting shoppers to wear pyjamas in-store this World Sleep Day to receive one of its bestselling lavender-scented products for free.

The British brand will be giving away a complimentary Sleepy Body Lotion to anyone over 18 who comes into participating stores during opening hours on Friday 15 March (World Sleep Day), wearing pyjamas.

First launched as a limited-edition in 2017, the Sleepy Body Lotion soon reached viral, sell-out status. This caused the product to be kept on permanently, with an expanded range of 16 products later introduced on the back of the lotion's success.

Lush said it sells, on average, one Sleepy Body Lotion a minute, and its factory staff hand-make over one million pots a year.

Made with comfortingly-sweet tonka absolute, the product boasts gentle lavender oil to encourage a peaceful night's sleep.

The lavender oil is sourced from an organic farm in Bulgaria. Growing organically means that pollinators are able to thrive amongst the fields of flowers, supporting bees and other bugs that are essential for the planet’s biodiversity.

Selected Lush stores across the UK will also be hosting lavender-scented Twilight bath bomb making workshops during the World Sleep Day weekend on 15-17 March.

World Sleep Day is a global celebration that aims to raise awareness of sleep health.
