Lush is continuing its commitment to invest £7.6 million in new shops, relocations and redesigns across the UK, Ireland and Europe in 2022.

The investment is part of the brand's retail growth plans to provide innovation and five star customer experiences.

Lush recently doubled the size of its store at Bluewater Shopping Centre to offer new customer experiences including a dedicated space for personal and bespoke Lush skincare consultations.

Last month, Lush also agreed a new 15-year lease for a store on Glasgow's Buchanan Street, allowing the beauty brand to create a new flagship location.

The 20,000 sq ft building in Scotland, which will span five floors, will allow Lush to create an immersive retail and spa experience. The store will house some new concepts and products for the brand, combining beauty services with space for Lush Parties and beauty consultations.

In addition, Lush opened a new customer concept store in Leicester in January and its first-ever 24 hour automated retail experience in March.

Looking ahead, the brand will be opening its largest store in Ireland at Dundrum Town Centre later this year.

Paul Wheatley, Lush Global Property Director, said: "Physical retail has always been important to us, as it enables us to provide our customers with exceptional, award winning service. That interaction and the conversations we have with our customers allow us to determine the product they require to meet any particular need, ensuring they always go away with the right products.

"Our shops are a space for the local community to get together, our retailers and shop colleagues are involved in their local communities and we believe that high streets have the opportunity to become community hubs. Our goal is to keep things exciting for the customer with a flexible dynamic of retail and digital. Being experiential is not enough, you have to be inspirational.”
