Lush is to unveil a totally new store concept which places the customer journey at the heart of its design.

Debuting at Lush’s Lincoln store on 22 October, the new concept has been designed to ease the shopping experience with much clearer category signposting and different zones with separate identities.

The ‘Dairy’ zone, for example, will display fresh handmade haircare and skincare, while ‘Bathing’ will be home to shower, soap and bath products.

The ‘Gifting’ zone will also feature traditional gifts, bespoke gifting, fragrance gifts and alternative Christmas packaging options including Lush Knot Wraps.

A number of other stores across the UK, Ireland and Europe are also to be re-launched with the new concept over the following weeks.

At a time when physical retail was under huge economic pressure, “Lush was committed to continuing investment in the high streets and providing innovation and new customer experiences,” it said.

The store will also boast totally unique fixtures and fittings created from old repurposed furniture, while new fixtures will be produced from ethically sourced and durable materials in a bid to reduce wastage.

Counter tops will be made from recycled yoghurt pots and plastic packaging, while new more energy efficient LED lighting will be fitted throughout.

The store will also offer Lush’s Bring It Back packaging recycling and rewards scheme.

For each plastic Lush item returned, customers will receive a 50p deposit to spend on their Lush basket that day.

Today Lush operates in 48 countries with over 900 shops, 38 websites shipping worldwide and a global network of native apps, broadcasting channels and digital communities in over 30 languages.
