LVMH appoints Dior fragrance boss as new beauty chief
LVMH has appointed Véronique Courtois as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of its beauty division, effective immediately.
In this new role, Courtois will oversee all beauty Maisons while continuing as CEO of Parfums Christian Dior, a move intended to ensure managerial and strategic continuity.
She succeeds Stéphane Rinderknech, Chairman and CEO of LVMH Beauty and Hospitality, who has decided to leave the group to pursue personal projects.
Courtois joined LVMH in 2000 and has held a range of senior marketing and leadership roles across the group’s beauty brands. She served as Chief Marketing Officer of Guerlain from 2007, before joining Christian Dior Couture in 2010 as Marketing Director.
She was later appointed Brand General Director of Parfums Christian Dior in 2012, President and CEO of Guerlain in 2019, and President and CEO of Parfums Christian Dior in March 2023.
Stéphane Bianchi, Managing Director of LVMH Group, said: "Throughout her rich career at LVMH, Véronique has consistently demonstrated our group's values and propelled its ambitious development through her impactful achievements.
"I am delighted to welcome her unique expertise and knowledge to the Executive Committee, where she [alongside new Director of Image & Environment, Antoine Arnault] will be instrumental in shaping our strategic direction."
Her appointment comes as LVMH navigates a more challenging operating environment. Last week, the group reported a 5% decline in revenue for 2025, reflecting geopolitical uncertainty and uneven demand across regions.
The Perfumes & Cosmetics division recorded flat organic revenue growth in 2025, with reported revenue down 3%. Fragrance performance at Parfums Christian Dior, Guerlain and Parfums Givenchy was supported by new launches, while makeup innovations such as the Forever and Dior Addict lines also contributed to sales.
Elsewhere, Selective Retailing posted organic revenue growth of 4% for the year, with reported revenue flat year-on-year, boosted by global beauty giant Sephora.
