LVMH Beauty appoints former Balenciaga exec as COO
LVMH Beauty has appointed Alexandre Oulès, the former COO of Balenciaga, as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Oulès started the new role on Monday and is reporting to Véronique Courtois, President and CEO of the LVMH Group’s beauty division and Parfums Christian Dior, according to an internal announcement seen by WWD.
Oulès’ role is newly created and is part of an organisational restructure implemented by Courtois.
As COO, Oulès will oversee manufacturing, supply chain, and purchasing across the beauty division, with a mission to support the division’s profitability and growth, according to the announcement.
He joins LVMH from the luxury fashion house Balenciaga, where he has held the position of Chief Operating Officer for the last three years.
Prior to this, he held senior leadership roles across LVMH brands, including Moët Hennessy, Celine, where he spent six years, and Guerlain, where he spent 14 years. He began his career in 1997 at L’Oréal.
The news comes after LVMH appointed Yann Musquin as Managing Director of LVMH Fragrance Brands, placing the luxury beauty executive in charge of Parfums Givenchy and Kenzo Parfums from 3 August.
It also follows the flat performance of LVMH’s Perfumes & Cosmetics business group in the first half of 2026, as the division continues to prioritise innovation and selective distribution.
