LYMA launches 'industry-first' supplement ingredients tool
London-based wellness brand LYMA has launched a new tool designed to help customers demystify the supplement industry.
Whether consumers are looking to boost energy, improve immunity or enhance overall wellbeing, the LYMA Index will recommend the best ingredients and the doses required.
As part of this, users can search the index to access information on particular ingredients, including botanical name, best source - dietary and supplementary - optimal dose and benefits.
Lucy Goff, founder of LYMA, said: "For too long the world of supplements and multi vitamins have been ambiguous but the truth is powerful, and we want to help customers make informed decisions.
"The new year signals a time when people will buy into false hopes and promises and rather than spending a lot of money on things that don’t work or hours trawling through the internet to find what does, we’ve created the LYMA Index to help customers navigate the ever-growing category."
Health supplements, once reserved for athletes and fitness junkies, are now making their way from the treadmill to the bathroom cabinet.
With over 20 million people in the UK taking supplements every day, hydration, elasticity and gut health have become a priority for consumers when looking for supplements.
However, research commissioned by LYMA last year found that fewer than 50% of people read the back of their supplements packaging, and more than 60% do not know the appropriate dosage they should take. Its new tool will attempt to combat this.
