m.ph beauty, the makeup brand founded by celebrity makeup artist Mary Phillips, has appointed Kira Jackson as Chief Marketing Officer as it builds on its first year in the beauty market.

Jackson brings more than a decade of experience in brand strategy and commercial growth. She most recently served as Chief Brand Officer at activewear label SET Active, where she led the company’s brand positioning and expansion.

Previously, Jackson worked as a consumer brand investor and currently serves on the board of growth equity firm RX3 Growth Partners. She is also a contributing editor at Inc. and Marie Claire.

Jackson joins the business around a year after m.ph beauty launched direct-to-consumer and entered Sephora.

Phillips developed m.ph beauty using more than 20 years of experience as a makeup artist. The brand is designed to translate professional techniques into products for everyday use that perform both on camera and in person.

Its positioning draws on Phillips’ signature approach to soft layering, natural sculpting, lifting and defining. The products are designed to enhance the wearer’s natural features without creating a heavy finish.

The brand’s current collection includes Le Skin Weightless Serum Foundation, the Underpainting Face Palette, Lip Ciggy Sheer Lipstick Balm, The Overliner Lip Pencil and a selection of makeup brushes.

Jackson will lead the brand’s marketing efforts as the business expands beyond its launch phase and continues to grow its distribution through Sephora.
