American rapper Machine Gun Kelly has joined the line of male celebrities releasing beauty brands with the official launch of his vegan nail polish line, Un/dn Laqr, in partnership with Unlisted Brand Lab, an innovative brand incubator.

Designed for any age or gender, the season-less collection is built on self expression and creativity for all, offering ten classic shades of vegan nail polish that can be mixed and matched to create statement looks and graphic nail art as well as five top coats.

The range includes a black hue called "Depressionist", a tribute to MGK's middle school days of colouring his nails with sharpies, a red-orange shade, "25 to Life", named by Megan Fox and a dark green shade, "Mary Jane".

On his decision to break into the nail category, Machine Gun Kelly said in a press release: "I don't like to just stop at clothes when it comes to expressing who I am. Nail polish serves as a true vessel of self-expression — I can express myself one way today and do it all again tomorrow with something different. When I do my nails, that's me wearing my own thoughts and making a statement. To me, polish is not just a colour, it's an intention. Every colour has a purpose."

Candy Harris, Unlisted Brand Lab Founder and CEO,  added: "We started Unlisted Brand Lab to incubate the next generation of brands - breaking perceptions and disrupting category generalisations.

"It's been an honour to work with Machine Gun Kelly to transcend the nail polish category and foster a cultural shift that has been a long time coming. This is just the beginning, we are setting out to bring a new voice to beauty with a lifestyle brand that will spark a conversation well beyond the colour drops."

Available to order online, the brand's website features the Bloody Valentine singer's Un/Dn Laqr product line in singles and kit sets, which retails from $18.

The emergence of male celebrities entering the beauty space has been fast growing with Pharrell Williams (Humanrace) and Harry Styles (Pleasing) launching their lines of nail polish and skincare recently.
