Malin + Goetz to host open mic night in celebration of new Bob Dylan biopic
Skincare brand Malin + Goetz is inviting budding musicians to showcase their talent at an open mic this week, providing a platform to "discover the next complete unknown" in partnership with Searchlight Pictures.
Located at the brand's store on 100 Berwick Street in London, the pop-up will take place on 29 January from 18:00-20:00.
Whether you're a seasoned performer or curious newcomer, the participating musicians are invited to play a two-song acoustic set in celebration of A Complete Unknown, the new biopic staring Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan.
The store has been reimagined to reflect The Gaslight Café in Greenwich Village, New York, where the American singer/songwriter performed. It features dim lighting, plush red velvet, and a single spotlight illuminating the space.
Simon Ford, General Manager Europe and Middle East at Malin+Goetz, told TheIndustry.beauty: "When we were approached to participate in a partnership activation with Searchlight Pictures' A Complete Unknown, we immediately felt the synergy between the film and our brand.
"Our open mic pop-up featuring in our Berwick Street store is giving new talent the opportunity to sing (or strum on the guitar!) and we hope one of these new unknown artists might even get signed at our special event next week."
Under the partnership, consumers can also interact through a dedicated digital page on the brand's website, allowing customers to shop its exclusive, limited-edition bundles.
Housed in a branded tote bag, the bundles include:
- Face The Music - featuring a Grapefruit Face Cleanser and Vitamin E Face Moisturiser (£68).
- Be Some(body) - featuring a Bergamot Hand + Body Wash and Vitamin B5 Body Moisturiser (£52).
- Can You Hair Me Now? - featuring a Peppermint Shampoo and Cilantro Hair Conditioner (£42).
