Modern Botany seeks investment for international expansion plans
Modern Botany is seeking to raise €3m to finance its international expansion plans.
The Irish unisex beauty brand, which offers a broad range of sustainably-made cosmeceutical skincare products, was founded in 2016 by sustainability specialist John Murray and doctor in Pharmacognosy, Simon Jackson.
“On a mission to improve skin, soil and communities across the world,” Modern Botany products are scientifically backed, 100% natural and made of high quality and potent botanical ingredients.
The brand, which also champions regenerative farming and ethical sustainability throughout its value chain, is seeking to “quickly gain scale internationally with a strong digital focus.”
The move will be propelled by the breadth of its product portfolio and global appeal “which will grow further from the last quarter of 2021,” Modern Botany said.
The business already has a UK office in which Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Tracey Woodward is based.
Woodward, who was previously CEO of Aromatherapy Associates, has a long and prestigious career in the beauty industry, including management positions at Estée Lauder and Aveda.
