New for 2024, skincare brand Neal’s Yard Remedies has launched its first-ever 24-day advent calendar, created in collaboration with Morris & Co.

The Natural & Organic Advent Calendar features Morris & Co.’s Marigold print, which was originally created by designer, poet, writer and environmentalist William Morris.

The print aligns with Neal’s Yard Remedies, as the 'calendula' marigold is a plant used in many of the brand's products and is even grown in the organic gardens of its eco-manufacturing facility in Dorset, England.

Worth over £340, the new 24-door advent boasts 12 full-sized and 12 travel-sized products spanning high-performing skincare, bath and bodycare and wellbeing.

Suitable for all skin types and routines, it includes an Frankincense Intense Age Defying Cream, as well as a cult favourite Goodnight Pillow Mist and a full-sized Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Booster, amongst other items.

Anabel Kindersley, Co-Owner and CEO of Neal's Yard Remedies, told TheIndustry.beauty: "We're thrilled to unveil this year's Natural & Organic Advent Calendar, marking a celebration of nature in partnership with Morris & Co.

"This is our third year of releasing calendars for the festive season, and due to the success and increasing demand observed of our 12-day calendars, we have introduced our very first 24-day calendar - our biggest yet. This has allowed us to give our customers the very best value and is the best way to explore the curation of our full collection."

Thought to have originated in the 19th Century when families would mark the days until Christmas with a chalk line, advent calendars have since become a Christmas countdown staple.

Today, consumers can purchase calendars filled with all sorts of confectionary, as well as newer varieties offering gin, candles and even socks. However, none of these recent concepts have topped the success of the beauty advent calendar.

Whether it's makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrance, or a mix of them all, beauty advent calendars entice consumers with their array of products, value for money and all-round festiveness.

With some selling out before the festive period even begins, the buzz for beauty advent calendars is clear and this excitement isn't just from consumers - it's also from the businesses doing them.
