Nike China VP joins Estée Lauder Board of Directors
The Estée Lauder Companies has announced that Angela Wei Dong has been elected to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Dong is the Global Vice President and General Manager Greater China at Nike. Since joining Nike in 2005, she has held various positions of increasing responsibility.
The Board of Directors at The Estée Lauder Companies now has 17 directors. In addition to joining ELC's board, Dong has been added to the company's Audit Committee.
William P. Lauder, Executive Chairman at The Estée Lauder Companies, said: "Angela’s impressive background and experience will provide our board with valuable insights. In addition to her background in finance, Angela brings strong experience in strategic branding and marketing of consumer goods, in particular for Chinese consumers."
The Estée Lauder Companies is a leading manufacturer and marketer of skincare, makeup, fragrance and haircare products from brands including Estée Lauder, Clinique, MAC Cosmetics, Tom Ford Beauty, Too Faced and Bobbi Brown.
The appointment follows the promotion of Gibu Thomas to Executive Vice President of ELC Online in May 2022.
