No7 Beauty Company to grow global reach with moves into China and Indonesia
The No7 Beauty Company is gearing up to “take British beauty to even more consumers” around the world – starting with the introduction of its Soap & Glory brand into mainland China.
The inaugural launch of Soap & Glory into mainland China comes after China relaxed its regulations around testing on animals to allow imported “general cosmetics,” such as bodywash, lotion and make-up, to be sold without animal testing.
A total of 14 products from the brand’s Original Pink, Smoothie Star and Magnifici-coco, franchises, will be the first to launch in China later this month.
The No7 Beauty Company, which also launched its No7 brand into Priceline drugstores in Australia on 1 September, will also be introducing a selection of brands in Indonesia later this year.
The launch of No7 into Priceline had already proved “a great success story” with the brand becoming a “top seller” within its first few days of launch, the company said.
Walgreens Boots Alliance SVP and Chief Commercial Brands Officer Annie Murphy said: “As part of the Walgreens Boots Alliance family, No7 Beauty Company has a shared ambition to offer inclusive and trusted beauty brands made for everyone and we are in the best possible position to offer beauty solutions to more people around the world, in stores and online.”
The No7 Beauty Company’s brands (also including Liz Earle, Botanics, Sleek Makeup and Your Good Skin) are currently present in 23,300 retailers around the world and across 17 markets including the US.
