Oldest hairbrush manufacturer in world granted Royal Warrant
British heritage brand Kent Brushes has been granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III as Brush Makers.
The achievement marks a historic milestone for the company as it now holds the rare distinction of serving the Royal Household for 10 consecutive reigns.
Since 1777, Kent Brushes has been synonymous with quality, trust, and timeless craftsmanship. This has guided the brand through centuries of service to the British Crown.
As the oldest hairbrush manufacturer in the world, the accolade inspires Kent Brushes to "continue innovating while preserving the traditional skills and sustainable practices that define the luxury hairbrush brand".
This recognition not only honours its legacy but also motivates the company to strive for even greater heights in the future, as it remains committed to offering customers "unparalleled craftsmanship" and "exceptional service".
Alan Cosby, Chairman and Managing Director of Kent Brushes, said: "This is not only an extraordinary honour but also a reflection of the generations of craftsmanship and dedication that have defined Kent Brushes.
"It is a privilege to serve the Royal Household once again, and this recognition motivates us to continue striving for excellence while honouring our legacy of sustainable practices and innovation."
Founded by William Kent, Kent Brushes holds a pre-eminent place in the history of brush making. The Kent family ran the company for six generations until 1932 when the last of the three Kent brothers passed away.
Eric L.H Cosby, owner of Cosby Brushes, then entered an association with G.B Kent & Sons and started a new chapter in the brand's long history. Since then, it has been under the creative direction of the Cosby family.
