Prestige haircare brand Ouai has appointed Susan Kim as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 19 May.

Kim joins Ouai from Kopari Beauty, where she has served as CEO since 2020. She previously held senior marketing and digital leadership positions at Huda Beauty, Benefit Cosmetics and L'Oréal.

According to the Business of Beauty, Kim’s priorities in the new role will include expanding the brand internationally, accelerating digital sales growth and maintaining Ouai’s luxury positioning.

Founded by American hairstylist and entrepreneur Jen Atkin in 2016, Ouai is known for its range of haircare products. The company was acquired by Procter & Gamble (P&G) in 2021.

Ouai has since continued to expand internationally as part of its broader growth strategy, with products available through retailers including Sephora stores across the Middle East, Asia, Australia and Canada, as well as Boots, Selfridges and Cult Beauty in the UK.

Following Kim’s appointment, Atkin will remain involved with the brand in her role as founder and Chief Creative Officer.
