Stephen Moody, the Artistic Director of John Paul Mitchell Systems (JPMS), has been crowned the Haircutting Winner at the prestigious North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) 2024.

The North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) is a professional beauty competition that celebrates the artistry and talent within the salon industry.

Stephen Moody's winning entry for the Cutting category is a testament to his passion for empowering women through transformative hair design.

His entry was a collection titled #IOWNME, which celebrates the beauty of women embracing their silver hair and redefining beauty standards in the industry. This award adds to his impressive list of accolades, including winning the 2021 NAHA Haircutter of the Year.

Stephen Moody is a professional educator and Artistic Director at JPMS, with over 30 years of experience. One of his career highlights was at Sassoon Academies where he was instrumental in developing and managing revolutionary education programs.

Moody said: "My vision is to celebrate proud and brave women through transformative hair color, cut, finish, and photography. #IOWNME women are proud of their perfect imperfections and want to enhance rather than hide their silver hair. Additionally, my goal was to shake up the norm of what wins a 'hair competition.' Women 40+ are just as beautiful as girls -25. Age is just a number."
