This month has seen a wave of leadership changes across several high-profile beauty brands, with TheIndustry.beauty highlighting some of the most notable appointments, including multiple CEO hires.

Boots confirms ex-Currys boss as new CEO

Boots confirmed that former Currys CEO Alex Baldock will take over as Chief Executive this autumn. In his previous role as CEO of European technology retailer Currys, Baldock led a comprehensive transformation of the business, improving colleague engagement, customer satisfaction and financial performance. Prior to this, he served as CEO of The Very Group, where he led the company’s digital transformation, as well as Managing Director of Lombard.

Orebella

Bella Hadid’s Orebella appoints new CEO to drive global expansion

Orebella, the fragrance brand founded by Bella Hadid, has announced the appointment of Anish Agarwal as CEO. Agarwal brings more than 20 years of experience across beauty and consumer companies, including senior roles at Colgate-Palmolive and L'Oréal. Most recently, he served as CEO of T3 Micro, where he oversaw brand growth and expanded retail distribution through partners including Ulta Beauty and Sephora. In his new role, Agarwal will work alongside General Manager Alison Romash to support the company’s next phase of development and international expansion.

Space NK

Space NK Chief Commercial Officer to exit after major growth period

Space NK Chief Commercial Officer Margaret Mitchell is set to leave the beauty giant after nearly a decade with the business. Mitchell has held the role of CCO since June 2022, as well as Chief Merchandising Officer from April 2019. She first joined Space NK in 2016 as Head of Buying and has also held senior roles including Group Buying Director and Global Buying Director. Her departure comes as the company begins recruiting for her replacement as Chief Merchandising Officer, with indications of her departure emerging via LinkedIn as Space NK looks to appoint a successor.

SunsolveMD

SunsolveMD names Global Commercial Director to accelerate growth

Performance-led clinical SPF skincare brand SunsolveMD appointed Serina Sandhu as Global Commercial Director, as it continues its expansion following its launch last year. Sandhu brings international commercial experience across the luxury beauty, wellness, retail and distribution sectors. She most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer at Aromatherapy Associates for over two years. In her new role, she will oversee global commercial growth across retail, direct-to-consumer, clinical and international channels, while supporting the brand's continued focus on innovation and product development.

Ouai

Ouai appoints Kopari Beauty boss as CEO

Prestige haircare brand Ouai appointed Susan Kim as its new Chief Executive Officer. Kim joined Ouai from Kopari Beauty, where she has served as CEO since 2020. She previously held senior marketing and digital leadership positions at Huda Beauty, Benefit Cosmetics and L'Oréal. In the new role, her priorities in the new role will include expanding the brand internationally, accelerating digital sales growth and maintaining Ouai’s luxury positioning.

Stila Cosmetics

Stila Cosmetics appoints former Estée Lauder president as CEO

Stila Cosmetics named Daniel M. Annese as its new CEO, marking a new phase in the brand’s leadership and strategic direction. Annese stepped into the role following a three-year tenure as a Board Advisor to the company. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the global beauty industry, including senior leadership positions at The Estée Lauder Companies, where he served as Global Brand President and was a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Annese's responsibilities included collaborating with brand teams, retail partners, distributors and suppliers to support strategic growth, operational alignment and consumer engagement across global markets.
