Perfect Corp expands into male grooming with new virtual try-on

Beauty and fashion tech solutions provider Perfect Corp has expanded its range of in-app offerings with a new AI and AR-powered virtual try-on for beard styles. 

This expansion within the men’s grooming category is available via Perfect Corp's YouCam Makeup app and aims to help users visualise different beard styles on their face.

The virtual try-on experience features 15 true-to-life facial hair styles for selfie photos, including a goatee, circle beard, anchor beard, mustache and mutton chops.

The try-on also features a beard eraser tool, which allows users to adjust and customise their beard to better fit their personal style. Similarly, the compare feature tool offers users the opportunity to compare their before and after facial hair styles, with side-by-side comparison.

Perfect Corp said it aims to transform shopping experiences by "empowering brands to embrace the digital-first world". The company's YouCam suite provides a platform for consumers to virtually try-on new products, perform skin diagnoses, edit photos and share experiences.
