The beauty and fashion technology company Perfect Corp. has launched an AR Watch Virtual Try-On solution that provides a 3D try-on experience.

This marks the continued expansion of Perfect Corp. into AI and AR solutions.

The company said the try-on experience provided high-resolution textures and reflections that would deliver true-to-life virtual effects for timepieces. The solution could be integrated into websites, e-commerce platforms, in-store smart mirrors and social media.

It added that the AR experience used a patent-pending technology by AgileHand, which in turn is powered by an AI algorithm that is trained by on PBR (Physically Based Rendering) 3D hand models to map a full range of gestures, facilitating high-performance hand tracking.

The technology is able to determine wrist size and enables shoppers to view a watch face, said Perfect Corp., as well as a watchstrap and buckle.

The company said that to make the experience a universal solution, models included a wide array of skin tones and textures, as well as hand and finger sizes, encompassing an inclusive range of personal hand differentiators and traits.

Perfect Corp. Founder and CEO, Alice Chang said: “We are excited to expand our offerings to begin serving the luxury timepiece industry with the launch of AR Watch Virtual Try-On and the debut of our proprietary AgileHand technology.”

Our AI and AR-powered solutions continue to serve both brands and consumers, delivering immersive and impactful shopping experiences that increase purchasing confidence and customer satisfaction. We are thrilled to release cutting-edge hand mapping technology that will help our solutions serve an even broader client base and aid consumers in their timepiece shopping journey.”

The new virtual try-on experience for watches can also be experienced at Perfect Corp.'s 3D virtual booth at CES 2022, where the company also demonstrates its other virtual solutions.
