Philips to trim bushy backs on Brighton Beach for free

To get men ready for the beach this summer, Philips, the creator of electric razors, has announced plans to open a pop-up on Brighton Beach on 10 August.

A poll of 2,000 males revealed that 21% ditched the idea of a paddle in the sea because they feel self-conscious about baring their furry bodies. 71% said it’s impossible to reach by yourself – so they only trim as far as they can reach.

For this reason, Philips is putting all eyes on its star razor - OneBlade – to rescue bushy backs this summer. The brand is inviting Brighton locals to swing by its pop-up for the "ultimate grooming experience", where trim technicians promise to tame back hair while providing cool refreshments.

Fiona Atkins, Male Grooming Lead at Philips, said: "Summer can be tough when you're rocking a lot of body hair due to excess heat and sometimes self-consciousness. And let's be honest, for those that choose to remove, shaving your own back is basically a team sport.

"We want men to confidently trim, edge, and shave their backs this summer, without a care in the world about their body hair – however they choose to wear it."

The Philips OneBlade ‘Got Your Back Bro’ pop-up will be hosted on Brighton Beach, this Saturday from 9:00 until 18:00 and is free of charge.
