Biotech-powered skincare brand REOME has secured over £1.1million in its first-ever seed fundraise, led by Tom Singh’s family office Rianta Capital.

The funding will allow the prestige beauty brand to accelerate growth, both locally and internationally.

Joanna Ellner

Founded by Joanna Ellner, an award-winning beauty editor and acupuncturist, REOME's mission is to invigorate stress-compromised skin with highly-specialised, potent formulas, while "redefining skincare as a tool for self-connection".

The British brand has achieved continued growth since launching exclusively at Space NK last year. It is also available at Liberty, Moda Operandi, Formula Fig, and selected luxury stores in the UK and Europe, with further expansion planned in 2025 in Australia, Europe, and the US.

With a 21-sku product pipeline, REOME is also set to reveal its biggest launch to date in January 2025, featuring a "first-to-market" biotech innovation from L’Oréal-backed Debut.

Ellner said: "When I discovered the full potential of biotechnology, and what it could do for our skin, I made it our mission to bring it to life through REOME.

"This round of investment allows us to bring that message of supreme efficacy to a broader audience, grow an unparalleled assortment of hero formulas, and bolster our internal team with world-class talent."

Singh added: "I invested in REOME because its science-driven, sustainable approach to skincare will play a pivotal role in the future of the industry.

"Joanna's expertise and passion for creating natural, high-performance formulations gives me belief in the brand's long-term potential and innovative vision."
