This month saw a variety of new beauty launches across the UK, from new brands and retail expansions to tech and product innovation.

TheIndustry.beauty has created a round-up featuring May's highlights from brands including Revolution Beauty, Olaplex and Dior Beauty.

Mango launches beauty online with Rituals

Mango has expanded into beauty with the launch of 150 Rituals products on its Spanish ecommerce platform. The fashion retailer plans to extend this offering to selected European markets in the next six months.

Boots expands wellness supplement range with new products

Boots introduced JSHealth Vitamins and Revolution Vitamin Gummies across its online and in-store portfolio. The health and beauty retailer is the first in the UK to stock JSHealth Vitamins. Boots also expanded its range of Revolution Beauty products to include the brand's chewable beauty vitamin.

BYBI to launch in-store at Holland & Barrett

Sustainable beauty brand BYBI revealed its first UK bricks and mortar stockist, launching in over 350 Holland & Barrett stores from 6 June 2022.  Formulated using low-carbon production methods, all BYBI products are 100% vegan and cruelty-free.

Superdrug expands Skinnydip Shop in Shop experience

Superdrug extended its partnership with Skinnydip to expand its ‘Shop in Shop’ experience across its stores nationwide, hoping to offer an "immersive and enjoyable" shopping experience on the high street. The partnership sees Superdrug offer exclusive Skinnydip lines and also expands its product offering into lifestyle and tech ranges.

Revolution Beauty steps up expansion into US market with Walgreens partnership

Revolution Beauty's Makeup Revolution announced an expansion into Walgreens, as it continues to grow the brand's accessibility and availability within the US. Available at select Walgreens locations and online nationwide at Walgreens.com, the brands are set to announce exclusive product collaborations this summer.

Isamaya Ffrench confirms June launch of debut makeup line

British make-up artist Isamaya Ffrench announced the launch of her own cosmetics line, Isamaya Beauty. Launching in June 2022, Isamaya Beauty is set to debut with a capsule collection, which is expected to be followed by subsequent drops.

KMI brands launches new wellness brand Plantopia

KMI Brands, licensed distributor of Ted Baker fragrance and toiletries, entered the wellness market with the launch of its new brand, Plantopia. Plantopia offers multi-purpose products for body and skin, alongside food supplements, aiming to provide a "holistic personal wellness prescription for modern living."

New CBD brand Walker & Morland launches

Consumer products group Tenacious Labs announced the launch of its new London-based CBD brand Walker & Morland. Targeted at those with an active lifestyle, Walker & Morland offers lab-tested products which harness the "natural power of CBD" for relief and recovery. The vegan brand uses natural, sustainable and ethically sourced ingredients from suppliers around the world.

Lottie London launches second foray into the metaverse

Beauty brand Lottie London launched its second foray into the metaverse with a virtual prom party. The virtual experience launched on 25 May and is open to visitors for the next two weeks.

Skindays launches curated skincare platform

Skindays launched a curated skincare platform with over 30 brands. The new platform aims to help prevent customers from making "uneducated and inefficient" purchases by combining technology with skincare knowledge to deliver a personalised and targeted shopping experience.

Dior Beauty launched a campaign with brand ambassador and South Korean singer Jisoo, offering four days of content and conversation about the new Dior Addict shine lipstick over WhatsApp.

Olaplex rolls out first AI employee to put a 'face' to the label

Olaplex deployed its first artificial intelligence-powered virtual employee. The non-binary virtual human can initially speak one-way to consumers, make announcements about new product launches and educate them on existing products.

Netflix launched a live shopping experience for Pat McGrath Labs' Bridgerton makeup collection. Hosted by YouTube creator Jackie Aina, the live shopping experience saw Aina create a regal-inspired beauty look from the collection while offering insight into how McGrath created the collection.
