This month saw a variety of new beauty launches across the UK, from new brands and retail expansions to tech and product innovation.

TheIndustry.beauty has created a round-up featuring September's highlights from brands including Dr Barbara Sturm, Pat McGrath Labs and Soho House.

PATTERN Beauty by Tracee Ellis Ross launches globally with Cult Beauty

PATTERN Beauty by Tracee Ellis Ross announced its launch online at Cult Beauty.

Founded by celebrated actor Ellis Ross, the award-winning brand celebrates Black beauty and works to be an active space for "uplifting and loving their community’s natural beauty".

Naturium to launch in UK 

Skincare brand Naturium announced its launch in the UK for the first time, exclusively at Space NK from 11 October 2022.

Founded by social media personality Susan Yara, Naturium is known for its high-performance skincare products made from natural botanicals, powerful actives and cutting-edge technology. The UK collection will feature 14 products, priced between £18 and £27. This includes Naturium's bestselling Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% and Vitamin C Complex Serum.

Pat McGrath Labs launches at Flannels Liverpool

Pat McGrath Labs announced its latest retail expansion, launching in-store at Flannels Liverpool.

Customers can now discover the Pat McGrath Labs brand and experience its latest innovations and collections in-store. From 20–23 October, Flannels Liverpool will also host a selection of Pat McGrath Labs masterclasses and 1-2-1 appointments with exclusive access to beauty experts.

Armani Beauty launches at Boots

Luxury cosmetics brand Armani Beauty announced its launch online and in select Boots stores across the UK.

Launching in-store from late September, the luxury brand is available to purchase at Boots stores in Manchester Trafford, London Covent Garden, Newcastle, Manchester Market Street and Glasgow Fort.

3INA to launch in UK

Spanish makeup brand 3INA launched in the UK for the first time, exclusively at Superdrug. The brand launched online on 21 September and will be available at the retailer's stores from 12 October 2022.

3INA is a cruelty-free cosmetics brand, known for its bestselling products including a 24HR Pen Eyeliner, Cream Eyeshadow, Colour Pen Eyeliner and Longwear Lipstick.

Soho House to launch Soho Skin at Space NK

Soho House announced the launch of its new Soho Skin range at Space NK from 4 October.

The private members' club devised the range based on feedback from its membership and it was unveiled last month. The genderlesss range was developed to streamline skincare regimes, deliver results and "elevate the everyday". Its focus is on renewing the skin's cellular energy and replenishing essential function.

Tula launches in UK

US skincare brand Tula launched in the UK at Space NK, allowing consumers access to both physical and digital shopping experiences nationwide.

Space NK customers can now shop a curated assortment of 26 products across the brand’s bestselling Core and Ageless collections in 40 Space NK stores and online. The product offering includes the brand's 27-7 Moisture Hydrating Day & Night Cream, The Cult Classic Purifying Cleanser and So Polished Exfoliating Sugar Scrub.

Dr. Barbara Sturm becomes first beauty brand to launch on Luxury Stores at Amazon

Dr. Barbara Sturm became the first beauty brand to launch on Luxury Stores at Amazon in Europe.

The partnership enables the prestige skincare brand to offer fast and free delivery of its products to new and existing consumers in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.

Brad Pitt launches genderless skincare inspired by wine

Brad Pitt unveiled a genderless skincare line, Le Domaine, in partnership with renowned winemakers, the Perrin family.

The Hollywood star says the new line is anything but a celebrity skincare range and is focused on bringing skincare back to the basics of nature. Pitt worked with the Perrin family, of the Château Beaucastel, on his Miravel Rosé wine and the new range centres around the concept of “from the vine to the skin” with anti-oxidants being the main focus.

Kourtney Kardashian Barker unveils new supplement brand

Kourtney Kardashian Barker launched her new vitamin and supplement brand, Lemme.

Formulated and manufactured in the US with globally sourced ingredients, Lemme launched with three gummy supplements including Lemme Matcha, Lemme Chill and Lemme Focus.

Ciara joins list of celebrities launching beauty lines this year

R&B singer Ciara joined the growing list of celebrities venturing into the beauty market this year, with her skincare line OAM. 

OAM, which stands for On A Mission, consists of five products; a hydrating cleanser, brightening pads, brightening serum, eye revitaliser and radiance moisturiser. Priced from $28 to $62, the line's five products all feature vitamin C as the star ingredient, as well as a proprietary Tri-C Pro-Peptide Complex.

JCPenney becomes first department store to offer AI/AR beauty experiences

US retailer JCPenney partnered with personalised digital experience company Revieve to become the first department store to offer digital skincare and makeup experiences using Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Reality.

The partnership launched a series of digital skincare and makeup experiences to better meet consumer needs and help shoppers experience retail in innovative ways.

Perfect Corp. unveils virtual nail art try-on

Perfect Corp. launched a new version of its YouCam Nails iOS app, allowing consumers to reimagine manicures through interactive try-ons.

The virtual try-on allows users to design nail art ideas by applying different colours, adjusting nail shapes and adding digital designs, all done with a live preview on their own hands.

Faith In Nature champions nature in Board of Directors appointment

Eco beauty brand Faith In Nature appointed a director to represent nature on its board.

Faith in Nature, which sells natural beauty products, claims it is the first company in the world to give nature a formal vote on corporate decisions that might affect it. The appointment gives the natural world a legal say in the brand's business strategy.

Unilever's Lifebuoy to create NFT series in new campaign

Unilever partnered with Singapore Tiny Island Productions and Ape Kids Club to design a series of NFTs to accompany the FMCG manufacturer’s Lifebuoy H for Handwashing campaign.

The digital tokens will drop on Global Handwashing Day on 15 October, with all donations paid into Save The Children’s crypto wallet.

Perfect Corp. launches teeth whitening try-on with Colgate

Perfect Corp. launched a specialised tooth whitening algorithm to bring the results of Colgate's Optic White Overnight Teeth Whitening Pen to life through AR simulation.

The tool provides consumers with visuals of the results that may be achieved after using the Colgate Optic White Overnight Teeth Whitening Pen after two weeks of use.

Boots to launch new online marketplace

Boots confirmed it will launch a new online marketplace in Spring 2023, welcoming third-party brands to its digital offering and extending its range of products available online.

The launch is part of the health and beauty retailer’s ongoing digital strategy and will allow brands to list their products online at Boots.

No7 partners with Clementine to launch skin-mind rituals

No7 collaborated with cognitive hypnotherapy app Clementine to create six mind-skin rituals for women going through the menopause.

The free to access digital rituals work with the new No7 menopause range and were designed to help menopausal women feel more comfortable in their skin and more positive about themselves.
