From beauty advice to business intelligence: Revieve launches BeautyCatalyst
Revieve has launched BeautyCatalyst, a platform designed to turn scattered consumer interactions into commercial intelligence for beauty brands and retailers, connecting product details, personalisation data and market signals in one integrated system.
The platform addresses two of today's most pressing pain points beauty brands and retailers face. On one hand consumers increasingly expect more personalised guidance, scientific validation, relevant education, seamless experiences, and recommendations tailored to their unique needs. On the other hand, beauty brands and retailers face ever more complex product portfolios, ingredient ecosystems, audience behaviours, market dynamics, and business decisions.
Currently solutions solve individual problems, but fail to connect the broader ecosystem, Revieve argues, "leaving brands with fragments of intelligence instead of a system that compounds."
This is where the company's exciting new launch, the BeautyCatalyst, comes in.
The platform connects structured beauty knowledge and consumer experiences with audience and market intelligence, and then applies those insights to business decisions. The company says this continuous loop, across four layers, can help brands and retailers use interaction signals to shape merchandising, marketing, assortment and product development, rather than treating each recommendation as an isolated outcome.
“One interaction can produce a recommendation. Millions can start to reveal where the market is going,” Revieve explained.
Four connected intelligence layers
BeautyCatalyst brings together four layers: Beauty Intelligence, Experience & Activation, Audience & Market Intelligence, and Business Decision Intelligence, creating one integrated ecosystem that is purpose-built for the unique complexity of beauty and wellness.
Beauty Intelligence
Beauty Intelligence provides the underlying knowledge structure, turning a static catalog into a dynamic beauty intelligence by connecting products, ingredients, attributes, benefits, routines, formulations and educational content into one unified, structured framework. According to Revieve this shared language is designed to give consumer experiences, business teams and AI systems a more consistent basis for interpreting beauty product information.
Experience & Activation
Experience & Activation is Revieve's most mature pillar to date. It enables brands and retailers to deliver personalised beauty and wellness experiences across all categories and channels, from mobile applications, to in-store environments, social commerce platforms and emerging AI ecosystems. By building on the Beauty Intelligence structure, all the information at all touch points throughout the consumer journey stays consistent and reliable. According to Revieve this layer specifically drives immediate business outcomes by increasing conversion, engagement, loyalty, Average Order Value (AOV), Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), and consumer confidence.

Audience & Market Intelligence
This third layer is where consumer interactions are transformed into understanding. Valuable signals that have been gathered across consumer interactions – every recommendation, concern, preference, routine, and engagement pattern – contribute to a brand's continuously evolving understanding of audiences and markets. By connecting all of the currently isolated elements new opportunities can be uncovered, according to Revieve.
Business Decision Intelligence
This final step integrates all four layers, enabling organizations to translate intelligence into action across marketing, merchandising, assortment planning, loyalty strategies, product positioning, product development, formulation decisions, innovation initiatives, and growth strategies.
In other words, this integration allows all layers to operate as a continuous loop, Revieve explained, as better product knowledge informs customer experiences, those experiences generate audience intelligence, and the resulting decisions feed back into future knowledge and engagement.
"The BeautyCatalyst Flywheel gets more intelligent, more connected, and more valuable with every interaction and every decision — rather than functioning as four disconnected point solutions," Revieve said.
Agentic AI supports the platform
While BeautyCatalyst is designed to support agentic experiences and workflows across every layer of the platform, Revieve highlights that this is "one way intelligence is activated throughout the platform — not the platform itself." By integrating both consumer-facing and enterprise-facing agents within the platform architecture, it allows the agents to draw on all four layers together, rather than functioning as isolated tools.
The platform launch marks only the beginning of a whole number of future applications. Underneath BeautyCatalyst sits a broader architecture Revieve calls the Catalyst Network, Revieve explained, with beauty being the first proof point of that architecture, and the most fully built out. In future, however, the company is already mapping out how the same architecture can be applied to health and wellness, fashion and lifestyle, food and nutrition, fitness and performance, and travel and hospitality categories.
The BeautyCatalyst launch further extends Revieve’s existing work in AI-led beauty discovery.
In February, the company introduced LiveAR real-time skin visualisation within its Digital Skincare Advisor. It followed in March with an AI Skin Advisor for ChatGPT, allowing brands and retailers to deliver controlled skincare guidance within the generative AI platform.
BeautyCatalyst places those consumer experiences within a broader commercial system, following Revieve’s recent research into predictive intelligence and AI-driven personalisation.
