Revieve has introduced a real-time skin visualisation feature designed to move digital skin analysis beyond static diagnostics and into a more "interactive, emotionally engaging experience".
The LiveAR tool enables users to view changes on their own skin in real time through a virtual try-on experience.
Rather than relying on still images, the platform dynamically updates skin insights as users move, adjust lighting, or change facial expressions - creating a more responsive and immersive assessment process.
Key skin concerns, such as fine lines, pores, and redness, are displayed directly on the face using colour-coded overlays that indicate both their location and severity.
Irina Mazur, Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer at Revieve, said: "When consumers can see their skin concerns appear live, in real time, the experience becomes personal and emotional - not just informational. That emotional connection is what drives confidence, trust, and meaningful action."
The feature is fully integrated within Revieve’s Digital Skincare Advisor and does not require additional technical setup, providing brands and retailers with a tool to enhance consumer engagement and product discovery.
Its launch aligns with a broader industry shift toward AI- and augmented reality-powered beauty tools, as companies seek more personalised and interactive ways to connect with consumers.
Revieve positions the innovation as part of a growing movement toward real-time, actionable insights that make skincare exploration more intuitive and engaging.
Commenting on this further, Revieve told TheIndustry.beauty: "This marks a fundamental shift in digital skincare. The future will not be defined only by how intelligent AI is, but by how visible and intuitive that intelligence becomes.
"Real-time visualisation transforms diagnostics from something consumers receive into something they experience. That shift will redefine how people understand their skin and how they make decisions, bringing digital beauty closer than ever to the trust and clarity of a human consultation.
"Ultimately, this evolution moves AI from being a passive evaluator to an active participant in the consumer journey. The technologies that will define the next generation of beauty are those that make advanced science not only precise, but perceptible, empowering consumers with clarity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of their own skin."
