Revolution Beauty board members step down

Revolution Beauty has announced that Gita Samani and Edward Rumsey have resigned as Non-Executive Directors with immediate effect.

Samani has served on the group's Board of Directors since June 2021. She also currently works as EVP Growth Strategy at Astound Commerce.

Rumsey has held the position at Revolution Beauty since July 2021. He is also a Managing Partner at Permian Global and Special Advisor at World Bank Group.

In a statement, the group revealed it intends to begin a process to appoint new non-executive board members in due course. Revolution Beauty did not provide a reason for Samani and Rumsey's departure.

The news follows the appointment of Bob Holt OBE as the group's CEO. Holt was appointed following the resignation of Revolution Beauty's Founder and former CEO Adam Minto.

Last month, Boohoo Group increased its strategic stake in Revolution Beauty and now holds more than a quarter of its stock. The business, which sells Revolution Beauty through a number of its websites, said its stake amounts to 26.47% of its stock.
