Rita Ora's haircare line lands at Boots
TYPEBEA, the performance-led haircare brand founded by singer-songwriter Rita Ora and beauty entrepreneur Anna Lahey, has launched online and in-store at Boots.
Its marks a "significant step" in expanding the brand's reach in the UK market, following its launch earlier this year.
Inspired by Ora's personal hair challenges and the deep-rooted connection between hair and self-confidence, the brand first launched with four products in April.
It aims to "redefine your relationship with hair, no matter its type", boasting sulphate, paraben, silicone-free ingredients and scalp care actives for visibly thicker, stronger and longer hair across a wide range of styles, textures and types.
The TYPEBEA range includes:
- Overnight Boosting Peptide.
- Strength + Length Shampoo.
- Strength + Length Conditioner.
- Hydra-gloss Treatment.
The creation of TYPEBEA comes after Ora first connected with Lahey through her global marine collagen brand, Vida Glow.
The two co-founders found common ground over Lahey’s traumatic struggles with hair loss and Ora’s desire to find a hair growth solution that would help rebuild her confidence after years of damage from extreme heat and excess styling.
Its launch at Boots strengthens the health and beauty retailer's position as a destination for "top-tier" haircare solutions.
Earlier this year, the high street chain expanded its haircare offer with a number of new brands and products joining its online and in-store line-up, following the category's success in 2023.
The news comes as the British Beauty Council names Ora as its latest Global Ambassador. Under the partnership, she will collaborate with the council to spotlight its work future proofing the beauty sector for all, while elevating the industry as whole.
Bringing a wealth of experience from the music, fashion and beauty industries, including TYPEBEA, the influence of Ora will be "effective" and "invaluable" in the support of raising awareness of diversity and inclusion within the sector.
