Rituals Cosmetics to open new store at Centre:mk
It will sell the brand’s full range of “luxurious yet affordable” home, bath and body products, as well as its signature fragrances from some of the world’s finest perfumers. Products range from scented candles and aromatherapy diffusers, to perfumes and massage oils.
Rituals Managing Director for the UK and Ireland, Penny Grivea, said: “We are very excited to be opening a new store in Milton Keynes, one of the prime retail destinations in the UK. We have grown rapidly in the UK since our flagship store in Covent Garden opened in 2016 and we are always looking for the right opportunities to support our growth, especially in key locations outside of London.
“Our aim at Rituals is to sell more than just products, but relaxing moments for our customers to enjoy. Wellbeing is a focal point for many, especially since the pandemic, it’s only natural for people to be looking for some relaxation. Rituals will be the ideal solution to help them unwind in their own home.”
Kevin Duffy, Centre:mk’s Centre Director, commented: “We work continuously to enhance our offer with best-in-class brands such as Rituals as we anticipate and satisfy the evolving needs of guests. Personal wellbeing and beauty are key areas, so Rituals is a great addition that, along with other recent openings at Centre:mk, creates an offer unrivalled anywhere in the region.”
Rituals was founded in 2000 by Raymond Cloosterman, a former Unilever employee. The first Rituals store opened in Amsterdam and the brand has since expanded worldwide to 27 countries with approximately 800 stores. Having opened the first store in the UK in Covent Garden in 2016, Rituals now boasts 36 stores across the country.
The announcement follows the news that Laser Clinics UK and Thérapie Clinic have also selected Centre:mk for new stores, with the former located at 43 Silbury Arcade and the latter at 30 Midsummer Arcade.
