Santa Maria Novella opens third boutique in London
Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, dubbed the world's oldest pharmacy, has opened a new boutique in Burlington Gardens.
The new store in central London welcomes visitors with a curated selection of fragrances and preparations that "embody the elegance and heritage of the pharmacy".
It joins the brand's existing locations in Piccadilly and Walton Street, strengthening its presence in the UK.
Established in 1221, Santa Maria Novella’s journey has been intertwined with the lives of royals, nobility, and admirers who’ve helped amplify the pharmacy globally.
Its ongoing expansion, which continues the brand's tradition of excellence by reinterpreting the Renaissance taste for natural sciences and perfumery, has seen its products distributed in 30 countries and over 400 points of sale worldwide.
Its latest opening comes as Santa Maria Novella partners with the nearby Royal Academy of Arts for its exhibition: "Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael: Florence, c. 1504".
The sponsorship supports the brand's commitment to sharing Florentine cultural heritage beyond Italy’s borders, while also highlighting Santa Maria Novella’s own links with the Florentine Renaissance and to Leonardo da Vinci in particular.
