Australian scalp care brand STRAAND has launched in over 250 Boots stores in the UK, as well as on its website, marking a “major milestone in the brand's international expansion”.

Bringing its science-backed scalp care solutions to more consumers than ever before, the partnership significantly expands STRAAND’s UK footprint following its successful exclusive debut with Sephora in 2023.

Founded on the belief that healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp, STRAAND was one of the first brands to champion microbiome-focused scalp care, helping drive the “skinification of hair” movement and encouraging consumers to treat the skin on their scalp with the same care and attention as the skin on their face.

The move also reflects a broader consumer shift towards “white coat beauty”; products that combine wellness, efficacy and preventative care, rather than simply treating symptoms.

Meagan Pate, co-founder of STRAAND, said: “Consumers are looking for more than just cosmetic solutions - they want products grounded in science that genuinely improve their wellbeing and enrich their routines.

“People are beginning to understand that scalp health is fundamental to healthy hair, and they're actively seeking solutions that address the root cause rather than simply masking symptoms.”

At the heart of the range is Defenscalp, a clinically backed prebiotic active designed to help rebalance the scalp microbiome, regulate excess sebum and support the scalp’s natural defence system.

The Boots launch will feature STRAAND's hero scalp care range, offering consumers a simple, effective routine designed to support long-term scalp health while “seamlessly” fitting into existing beauty rituals.

As beauty continues to move closer to health and wellness, and the rise of pharmacy-beauty hybrids continues to reshape the global beauty landscape, STRAAND is continuing to lead a new generation of brands redefining what modern haircare looks like – “proving that healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp”.
