Martin Brok, CEO of beauty chain Sephora, is to step down from his role on 30 June 2022, after two years with the business.

Brok was appointed as CEO of LVMH Group-owned Sephora in September 2020. Chris de Lapuente, the CEO of LVMH's selective distribution division, will take over from Brok whilst also remaining in his current position.

De Lapuente first joined LVMH as CEO of Sephora in 2011 and has been credited by LVMH Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault for leading the retailer's global presence and growing new beauty brands, such as Fenty Beauty. De Lapuente was succeeded by Brok in 2020.

An internal memo reportedly stated the move is "due to a divergence of views" between Brok and the company.

Before joining Sephora, Brok was president of the EMEA region at Starbucks, and prior to this he was at Nike for eight years. During his tenure at Sephora Brok has been credited for leading the company's digital outreach.
