Rare Beauty has announced the return of its 'Make A Rare Impact' campaign in partnership with Sephora, in recognition of World Mental Health Day later this month.

Building on the success of the inaugural partnership in 2023, this year's campaign will once again see Sephora donate 100% of Rare Beauty product sales on 10 October to the Rare Impact Fund.

Guillaume Motte, President and CEO of Sephora, said: "At Sephora, we are driven by our purpose to champion a world of inspiration and inclusion where everyone can celebrate their beauty, and we are proud to have built a community of committed brands that share this vision and act upon their values.

"Rare Beauty’s commitment to mental health is a perfect illustration of how beauty can make a difference, and we are committed to make this initiative a success across our markets."

The Rare Impact Fund is on a mission to mobilise $100 million for organisations increasing access to youth mental health services and education globally.

As part of this commitment, Rare Beauty donates 1% of sales directly to the Rare Impact Fund, while raising additional funds with support from philanthropic foundations, individuals, corporate partners like Sephora, and the Rare Beauty community.

It currently supports 26 organisations, expanding access to mental health services and education for young people.

"When I launched the Rare Impact Fund my goal was to expand access to mental health services and education for young people – something I craved in my own youth," said Selena Gomez, Founder and Creator of Rare Beauty and the Rare Impact Fund.

"The mental health crisis continues to impact young people disproportionately and partners like Sephora are instrumental, not only by believing in this mission, but by contributing crucial funds to expand mental health resources for the people who need them."

Founded by Gomez in 2019, Rare Beauty aims to create a safe and welcoming space in beauty that supports mental wellbeing across age, gender, sexuality, race, and physical or mental ability.

Its mission is to help everyone celebrate their individuality by "redefining what beautiful means and promoting self-acceptance".

Since its launch, the brand has risen is popularity with bestsellers including a Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Stick, Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, and Perfect Strokes Longwear Gel Eyeliner.

Gomez recently reached billionaire status, having amassed a fortune worth $1.3 billion, according to Bloomberg, which recently added Gomez to its Billionaires Index.

The vast bulk of Gomez’s wealth is tied to Rare Beauty, which has become a hit with influencers and makeup-obsessed teens.
