Sephora is opening its third UK store at the Trafford Centre in Manchester, creating the "ultimate destination for those seeking the latest and most coveted beauty products in the North".

Expected to open next summer, the new store marks the retailer's first location in the North of England and hopes to provide an "immersive and unparalleled shopping experience".

It comes after Sephora recently announced its intention to open additional locations across the UK, representing the "pivotal role that major regional cities like Manchester play in shaping and influencing the beauty industry landscape".

The new location was selected following an influx of requests and enthusiasm across the retailer's social media platforms, with Manchester emerging as the top city requested by its followers.

This is reflected across the hoarding outside the Manchester store, playfully suggesting the enthusiastic demand for its opening with the tagline 'Manchester, you called it'.

Similar to its existing UK stores, the space will boast an extensive selection of products across makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrance and wellness, including a "stellar" line-up of exclusive brands.

This includes Glossier, Makeup by Mario, GXVE by Gwen Stefani, Haus Labs and Sephora Collection, amongst others.

Sarah Boyd, Managing Director at Sephora UK, said: "We are extremely excited to bring Sephora to Manchester, one of the most vibrant cities for beauty in the UK.

"Expanding our presence beyond London is something that consumers have been screaming out for, and we are listening hard to them when deciding where to go next. The Trafford Centre, known for its iconic atmosphere and diverse retail offering, is the perfect location for our third store."

Russell Loveland, Managing Director at Pradera Lateral – Trafford Centre’s Asset Managers, added: "We are very proud Sephora chose the Trafford Centre for its next location, which will be its first store in the North of England, and know it will be a great addition to our strong international brand lineup."

Sephora originally left the UK market in 2005, having opened a handful of stores. In 2021, as a prelude to its return, the retailer acquired Feelunique in a £132 million deal.

It then took over Feelunique's former website and launched in the UK online in October 2022, later opening stores at Westfield London in March 2023 and Westfield Stratford last month.
