Sephora to open at Kent's Bluewater Shopping Centre
Sephora is continuing its retail expansion across the UK with plans to open at Kent's Bluewater Shopping Centre later this year.
Similar to its existing UK stores, the space will boast an extensive selection of products across makeup, skincare, haircare, fragrance and wellness, including a line-up of exclusive brands.
This includes Glossier, Makeup by Mario, GXVE by Gwen Stefani, Haus Labs and Sephora Collection, amongst others.
It will also feature in-store beauty services from the likes of Elemis, Dermalogica, Seasonly, Benefit Cosmetics and Dyson.
Sarah Boyd, Managing Director of Sephora UK, said: "We are thrilled to continue this momentum of our rapid growth by opening Sephora stores in key shopping destinations such as the iconic Bluewater Shopping Centre.
"We have loved seeing the enthusiasm and appetite from our customers around the UK of where they would like to us to show up, inspiring us to roll out more of our ‘beauty playgrounds’ and unparalleled shopping experiences to some of the nation’s most beloved retail destinations such as Bluewater."
The new store will join a number of beauty brands and retailers already available at Bluewater, including Boots, Dermalogica, Holland & Barrett, Jo Malone London, Lush and Superdrug.
James Waugh, Centre Director at Bluewater, said: "Sephora is one of the most regularly requested brands by our guests, so we’re really excited to be welcoming it to our retail line-up later this year.
"The brand’s only Kent-based store will be worth the wait for our guests, as it will bring multiple of the world’s most viral beauty brands to Bluewater that our customers wouldn’t have been able to shop for before Sephora’s arrival.
"We will be announcing more details on the arrival of Sephora in due course, with an expected opening date to be shared as soon as possible."
It marks Sephora’s seventh store opening since its return to the UK in 2022, with stores already located in London’s Westfield White City and Westfield Stratford.
It also recently opened the doors to a new flagship at The Trafford Centre in Manchester, marking the global beauty retailer's debut in the North of England and third location in the UK.
The global beauty retailer also plans to open additional stores including not one but two new stores in the North East at the Metrocentre in Gateshead and Newcastle's Eldon Square, as well as the Bullring Shopping Centre in Birmingham.
Sephora originally left the UK market in 2005, having opened a handful of stores. In 2021, as a prelude to its return, the retailer acquired Feelunique in a £132 million deal.
It then took over Feelunique's former website and launched in the UK online in October 2022, later opening stores at Westfield London in March 2023 and Westfield Stratford in November 2023.
