Following the success of its first store outside of London at Manchester’s Trafford Centre last year, Sephora has announced the opening of its second location in the city.

The global beauty retailer is getting ready to open at inner-city shopping destination Manchester Arndale this summer.

Similar to its existing locations, the space will bring a selection of local and global brands that have "disrupted the beauty industry" across the makeup, travel, fragrance, skincare, haircare, grooming and wellness categories.

Brands available in-store will include Makeup by Mario, Haus Labs, Tarte Cosmetics and Glow Recipe, amongst many others, as well as its own Sephora Collection.

It will also offer a range of beauty treatments, from makeup application and skincare services to hairstyling and brows.

Sarah Boyd, Managing Director at Sephora UK, said: "Manchester showed us phenomenal support when we opened our first store in the region, which blew away all our expectations. We are thrilled to be bringing a second store to this vibrant and culturally rich city, allowing us to reach even more shoppers with a city centre location at Arndale.

"We know there is strong appetite from beauty enthusiasts in Manchester as we saw over 2000 eager customers queue on our opening day last year, and we look forward to recreating the same energy at Arndale and to continue providing an unparalleled beauty experience like no other."

The new store follows a "landmark" year for Sephora UK as it opened its first stores outside of London, welcoming thousands of beauty enthusiasts across the region.

It marks the retailer's third store opening announcement for 2025, following the news that Sephora UK will open a new store at Liverpool ONE and Meadhowhall in Sheffield.

The Manchester store will also represent the tenth location in the company's growing retail portfolio, which also includes Westfield London, Westfield Stratford, Manchester’s Trafford Centre, Newcastle’s Eldon Square, Gateshead’s Metrocentre, Birmingham Bullring and Bluewater Shopping Centre.

Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, joint asset managers of Manchester Arndale alongside M&G Real Estate, said: "Sephora is an excellent addition to the Manchester Arndale as it cements our position as the go-to destination for beauty and fashion brands.

"The arrival of Sephora continues the strong momentum of international brands selecting Manchester Arndale as they expand their UK retail footprint. This highlights the confidence these retailers have in Manchester Arndale’s continued strong performance and how we continue to attract shoppers from across the North West and beyond."
