Skin Laundry opens first ever standalone UK store in London’s Carnaby
US beauty retailer Skin Laundry has today opened its first ever standalone UK store and clinic at 9 Newburgh Street in London’s Carnaby area.
The new 690 sq ft store is split across two floors, boasting three private treatment rooms. The opening comes after four years of huge success with a concession space inside Liberty London.
Skin Laundry specialises in laser facials and was founded in 2013 in Santa Monica, California. The brand now has 23 stores/clinics worldwide, with nine in California, four in New York, three in Florida, one in Arizona, five in Hong Kong and now this one in London.
Founded on a belief that the technology and science reshaping skincare today should be available to all people looking to improve or maintain their skin, Skin Laundry has been bridging the gap between medical cosmetics and beauty therapy since its inception.
Skin Laundry also sells a vast collection of products, including a simplified skincare line featuring daily skincare essentials to help achieve radiant, smooth, glowing and “just laundered” skin at home.
Top selling products include "Sheet Masks" (£10-£14) - each to be used at different times depending on what your skin is craving, the "Ultra Hydration Boost" (£60) with hyaluronic acid, peptides and antioxidants, and the "Balancing Toner" (£20), which is totally free of alcohol and soothing to the skin.
Specialists in safe and effective laser facials that are performed by certified laser therapists, the brand offers three different types of treatments which range from £100 to £600.
Gregg Throgmartin, CEO at Skin Laundry, says: “Following the success of Skin Laundry’s Liberty London concession, it became apparent that we should look to open our own store in the city.
“While the pandemic has thrown challenges for businesses across the globe – not least in the skincare sector – the time has allowed us to find, design and refurbish our new home in London. We are looking forward to welcoming existing and new clients to the Soho store.”
Retail Director at London landlord Shaftesbury, Samantha Bain-Mollison, comments: “We are delighted that Skin Laundry is opening their first ever UK stand-alone store in Carnaby’s Newburgh Street. With the addition of three treatment rooms, the skincare brand offers a premium beauty experience for the destination. The brand joins the recent retail openings on Newburgh Street including Wax London and Canvas.”
