SONARA to open Britain's first Fine Bathing & Dining Club in Chelsea
SONARA is set to open on London’s King’s Road later this year, bringing what it describes as Britain’s first Fine Bathing & Dining Club to Chelsea.
The 1,500sqm venue will open within One Twenty and combine communal bathing, treatments and dining in a single destination. Rather than operating as separate spa and restaurant experiences, guests will keep a restaurant table throughout their visit as a base, moving between the bathing facilities, treatments and dining areas.
At the centre of the venue will be a traditional oak-lined Banya Chamber, where Steam Masters will lead Parenie rituals, a Russian bathing practice involving steam, heat and body treatments. The facilities will also include a Snow Room, Red Salt Grotto, Hammam, Cold Plunge, Floating Room and Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber.

SONARA will also feature four private 90 sq m bathing suites. Each will include its own Banya Chamber and Cold Plunge, alongside dining and relaxation areas.
The concept draws on the longstanding tradition of communal bathing, bringing together different forms of heat and cold therapy with food and drink. Guests will be able to move between the various facilities before returning to their table throughout their visit, rather than following a fixed treatment schedule.

The opening comes as London’s wellness market continues to expand beyond traditional spas and gyms, with hospitality increasingly being incorporated into destination wellness concepts. SONARA is positioning itself between a spa, restaurant and members’ club, with further details on its interiors, culinary programme and treatment offering expected ahead of the opening.
The venue will be located at One Twenty on King’s Road, Chelsea, with an opening date yet to be announced.
