Space NK Chief Commercial Officer to exit after major growth period
Space NK Chief Commercial Officer Margaret Mitchell is set to leave the British beauty retailer after nearly a decade with the business.
Mitchell has held the role of Chief Commercial Officer since June 2022, as well as Chief Merchandising Officer from April 2019.
She first joined Space NK in 2016 as Head of Buying and has also held senior roles including Group Buying Director and Global Buying Director.
Her departure comes as the company begins recruiting for her replacement as Chief Merchandising Officer, with indications of her departure emerging via LinkedIn as Space NK looks to appoint a successor.

During her tenure, Mitchell has played a key role in a period of growth and transformation for the premium retailer.
Earlier this year, the company reported record performance over the November and December 2025 trading period, with total business growth of 26% year-on-year.
The beauty giant also recorded the biggest sales week in its history during Black Friday last year, exceeding its previous record by almost 20%.
It comes as Space NK continues to invest across its store estate, operations, technology and customer acquisition, while introducing new and trending beauty brands and refreshed retail locations.
Space NK also opened a new flagship store on London’s Oxford Street last summer and launched its first shopping app later in the year, marking a new chapter in the retailer’s digital offering.
The business was acquired by Ulta Beauty last year from its previous owner, Manzanita Capital.
