British beauty retailer Space NK has opened at Centre:MK in Milton Keynes, strengthening its UK store estate.

Situated on Silbury Arcade, the new 1,721 sq ft store showcases a wide selection of makeup and skincare products, with more than 100 beauty brands on offer.

It also features a dedicated consultation area for makeup and skincare, as well as the opportunity for customers to sign up to the retailer's loyalty scheme to earn points on their shopping.

Charlie Evans, Head of Retail at SpaceNK, said: "Situated in a key strategic regional destination, our new store at Centre:mk connects us to a significant, affluent and engaged catchment.

"With expert advice from the store team and over 100 leading brands, SpaceNK Centre:mk is the place to be for beauty enthusiasts in the region."

Founded by Nicky Kinnaird in 1991, Space NK first opened its doors in Covent Garden in 1993. The company, which is owned by private equity firm Manzanita Capital, has approximately 80 stores across the UK and Ireland.

The news comes shortly after Space NK announced plans to open ten new stores next year as it continues to invest in the UK high street following a surge in sales and profits.

CEO Andy Lightfoot said that he was a "real believer" in bricks-and-mortar retail and had a pipeline of new openings in high streets and shopping centres across the UK.

He added that the business had "quite a long runway" for increasing its store estate and would open a similar number of outlets each year for the foreseeable future.
