Space NK launches Express Same Day delivery service as stores shut up shop
British beauty retailer Space NK has brought forward the launch of a new Express Same Day delivery service, enabling shoppers to access its products while stores are closed under current lockdown restrictions.
Available from today on spacenk.com the service allows customers within eligible postcodes to receive their beauty goods within a two-hour timeframe of placing an order.
Once an order has been placed it will be picked and packed from one of 36 participating Space NK stores that have been designated as local distribution points, before being delivered to the customer.
Space NK trading director Sara Cohen said: “As we move into the 2nd UK lockdown, our teams have worked quickly to pivot, and deliver a service that meets our customers’ needs.
“We have brought forward the launch of Express Same Day Delivery, in line with lockdown, so customers are reassured they can shop as they wish and support their local store at the same time.”
The service launches today in 15 stores, before being extended to a further 21 on Monday 9 November, with further sites to be added in due course.
The first 15 stores to offer the service are: Bournemouth, Blackheath, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Cheapside, Chiswick, Duke of York Square (Kings Road), Hans Crescent (Knightsbridge), Kings Cross, Muswell Hill, Northcote Road, Richmond, Westbourne Grove, Wimbledon.
Space NK’s Same Day Delivery will be free for a limited period at launch, rising to £8 thereafter. It will remain free for customers who spend over £100.
Customers receive an SMS message with a tracking link when the delivery is on the way and signatures are required for couriers to deliver the order.
