Space NK is opening its largest store outside of London at Birmingham's Bullring shopping centre, marking a major step in the retailer's continued expansion.

Scheduled to open in late summer, the new store will feature a selection of new brands, exclusive product launches and familiar favourites across two levels.

Designed to offer a warm welcome to new and existing customers, the space will also feature a dedicated consultation area for makeup and skincare, with play tables for customers to use independently or with store staff.

Andy Lightfoot, CEO at Space NK, said: "Our Birmingham community have been very vocal about their wish for us to return to Birmingham and we are delighted to have secured a location in Bullring, our biggest store outside of London.

"This will be our first standalone store in the city, and an opportunity for customers to shop the world’s best beauty brands and receive expert advice from our in-store team."

Paul O’Brien, Director of Leasing & Commercialisation at Hammerson, added: "Bullring and Grand Central continues to be the place to go for health and beauty in Birmingham.

"Hammerson’s strategy of creating best-in-class spaces for international brands seeking a flagship presence in destinations that out-perform is evidenced by Space NK’s decision to open their largest store outside the capital."

The news comes after Space NK announced plans to open ten stores in 2025 as the retailer continues to invest in the UK high street following a surge in sales and profits.

CEO Andy Lightfoot said that he was a "real believer" in bricks-and-mortar retail and had a pipeline of new openings in high streets and shopping centres across the UK.

He added that the business had "quite a long runway" for increasing its store estate and would open a similar number of outlets each year for the foreseeable future.

Earlier this month, Space NK announced a new flagship at London's Oxford Circus, introducing a purpose-built beauty concept to meet the wants and needs of its customers. It is also opening new stores in Kent, Chelmsford and Leicester.
