Space NK is opening a new flagship at London's Oxford Circus, introducing a purpose-built beauty experience concept to meet the wants and needs of its customers.

Taking the unit currently housed by Ikea's Hus of FRAKTA, the new store will feature a selection of new brands, exclusive product launches and familiar favourites, allowing customers to explore the "very best of beauty".

Andy Lightfoot, CEO at Space NK, said: "The mission with our flagship is to push boundaries once again on what can be achieved with an in-store shopping experience – adding another page in the story of Space NK, as we celebrate 30 years as a leading British beauty retailer."

It comes after Space NK previously announced plans to open ten stores in 2025 as the retailer continues to invest in the UK high street following a surge in sales and profits.

CEO Andy Lightfoot said that he was a "real believer" in bricks-and-mortar retail and had a pipeline of new openings in high streets and shopping centres across the UK.

He added that the business had "quite a long runway" for increasing its store estate and would open a similar number of outlets each year for the foreseeable future.

Last week, Space NK also announced the opening of new stores in Kent, Chelmsford and Leicester, as well as the expansion of an existing location in Glasgow, Scotland.

Charlie Evans, Head of Retail at Space NK, said: "We have an ambitious year planned for our stores this year. This is just start of bringing Space NK to more customers, making it easier for them to shop the best in beauty."
