Summer Fridays secures investment from TSG Consumer Partners
Summer Fridays has landed investment from private equity firm TSG Consumer Partners to support its growth.
TSG has taken a majority stake in the skincare company, though terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to WWD.
The Co-founders of Summer Fridays, Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland, will retain a significant stake and continue to lead the business alongside its current management team, including John Heffner, Chairman and CEO of Summer Fridays.
As part of the partnership, previous investor Prelude Growth Partners will exit its investment in the company.

The new investment is expected to support the brand's product development, brand building and geographic expansion.
Having recently launched at Sephora UK, the investment comes as Summer Fridays eyes further expansion in Western Europe, attempting to replicate the level of engagement it has in the US.
Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland, Co-founders of Summer Fridays, said: "TSG has an extensive record of growing consumer brands in beauty and can support our expansion with their digital, operational and consumer insights capabilities.
"We look forward to accelerating our innovation and global distribution alongside a partner that shares our values and supports our commitment to delivering effortless, gentle options for our customers."
Founded in 2018, Summer Fridays first launched with its now bestselling Jet Lag Mask and has since introduced a number of products to its line-up, championing efficacy and simplicity.
Colin Welch, Managing Director and Head of New York and London offices at TSG, said: "Summer Fridays is a lifestyle brand that has built unparalleled consumer love through a focus on gently effective, intuitive and easy-to-use products.
"We are honoured to partner with Marianna, Lauren and the entire Summer Fridays team to build upon the skincare company’s success and to help further expand the brand globally."
TSG’s previous beauty investments include E.l.f. Cosmetics, Perricone MD, Smashbox and Zoeva, among others.
