Superdrug announces two-year partnership with British Beauty Council

Superdrug has agreed to a two-year partnership with the British Beauty Council which also sees its commercial director, Simon Comins, appointed to the council’s executive board.

The announcement also marks the high street health and beauty retailer as the official patron of the British Beauty Council, which will see them work together to invest in employment opportunities across the country.

The British Beauty Council was originally founded to represent the voices and needs of the British beauty industry, helping to ensure that the sector remains a valuable part of the retail industry and culture in the UK.

Simon Comins, Superdrug’s commercial director and newly-appointed executive board member at British Beauty Council said: "We are so pleased to now be an official patron partner of the British Beauty Council. I am so proud to have been appointed as a member of the British Beauty Council’s executive board.

"At Superdrug, we are passionate about continuing to support the UK high street and British beauty industry, and I am so excited for everything we are set to create together in 2022 and beyond."

Superdrug currently employs over 12,000 staffs in over 830 stores across the UK. As an essential health and beauty retailer, the majority of the its stores remained open throughout the pandemic, with a focus on supporting communities and ensuring they had access to essential health products.

The retailer will continue to collaborate closely with the British Beauty Council, with a number of new initiatives and campaigns set to launch in 2022.
