Superdrug has opened its largest store in Scotland at Braehead Shopping Centre, offering customers access to its full range of health and beauty products.

The retailer has relocated from its previous unit, upsizing to a 11,000 sq ft space. The new store occupies a central location on the ground floor of the shopping centre, which Superdrug describes as a "prime position".

The store has been taken on a 10-year lease, and comes ahead of "many other exciting openings in the pipeline for 2023, which will further enhance Braehead’s retail offer".

The expanded space offers customers access to the latest health and beauty products, everyday toiletries, beauty treatments and luxury fragrances. The location also features an eyebrow threading concession.

Located just outside of Glasgow, Braehead Shopping Centre spans 1.1 million sq ft and is home to brands including Marks & Spencer, Apple, Flannels, Boots, Gap and NEXT.

Steve Gray, Head of European Retail Asset Management at Global Mutual, said: "We’re excited to see Scotland’s largest Superdrug open at Braehead - and we know our shoppers will be too.

"Superdrug has been with us for a long time, and this news reflects the great relationship we have with the team – and also how well the previous store performed. We’re seeing lots of tenants upsize to larger stores across our centres – something we expect to see more of as footfall continues to recover."

In August 2022, A.S. Watson Group announced its commitment to create 25,000 jobs at Superdrug and Savers for 16-23 year olds across the UK by 2030. This commitment its part of the group's initiative to offer 200,000 job opportunities for young people globally, aiming to support young people’s career development and help build a more equitable and inclusive society.
