Camden Market owner LabTech has announced the opening of a first-ever barber shop for male grooming product manufacturer and retailer Sweyn Forkbeard, which has taken two units totalling 400sq ft.

The barber shop will also sell Sweyn Forkbeard’s male grooming products for wet shaving and beard care.

The shop design is inspired by the 1900’s, with customised barber chairs and displays of antiques over 120 years-old. With over 125 male grooming products on offer, each item is certified 100% organic and handmade in London, with a percentage of profits donated to local charity, Camden Giving.

George Garcia, founder of Sweyn Forkbeard, commented:We are thrilled to be opening our first ever standalone barber shop in the iconic Camden Market. Following continued success with our three product shops in London, two of which are already in Camden, it makes sense for us to extend our presence here with an expanded bricks and mortar offering for Londoners.

“After selling barber products within our stores and at barber shows over the last five years, it is a natural step to open a fully-fledged barber shop, enabling us to apply our products directly to Camden Market’s consumers.”

Maggie Milosavljevic, LabTech’s retail commercial director, added: “We are confident the new Sweyn Forkbeard experience will be a hit with our local customer base.

"Nurturing and working closely with brands such as Sweyn Forkbeard to grow their presence within our estate is very much key to the success of our offering within the market.

“As a landlord, it is vital we continue to support these businesses as we move out of lockdown. It is a great example of how we want to support all our traders to continue to grow their offering and is evidence that Camden Market is a destination where brands should be looking to expand their businesses.”
