Tate McRae has launched her own fragrance brand in partnership with Scent Beauty, debuting with the TATE 01 Eau de Parfum.

Created with Givaudan perfumers Adriana Medina and Antoine Maisondieu, the fragrance is built around ISO E Super and is designed as a woody, skin-close scent. It opens with bergamot and clary sage before moving into white florals, amber, tonka bean, sandalwood and soft woods.

McRae said fragrance has become the “final invisible layer” of her beauty routine and that she wanted TATE 01 to feel like a “second-skin” scent.

“I set out to craft a scent that feels entirely second-skin: effortless, subtly edgy, and perfectly you,” she said. “It melts in so gracefully that it never wears you; it just enhances who you already are.”

The launch marks McRae’s first move into fragrance following a trademark application for Tate By Tate McRae filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office in July. The application covered fragrances, non-medicated skincare products and candles.

McRae is currently a global brand ambassador for Neutrogena and has previously built her beauty profile through partnerships with the skincare brand.

Scent Beauty, which is behind the new fragrance brand, has previously worked with celebrities and creators including Dolly Parton, Sabrina Carpenter and Megan Moroney.

TATE 01’s campaign was shot by photographer Mario Sorrenti and draws on the visual language of 1990s supermodel culture. The bottle has been designed with a sculptural glass form, combining rounded contours with a more architectural shape.

The fragrance is available for pre-order in the UK and EU ahead of shipping from 23 October, priced at £38 for 30ml.
