The third day of British Beauty Week has seen a focus on technology and business, with events providing the industry with ideas and tools for growth and technological advances.

Running from 5-11 September 2022, the British Beauty Council describes this year's event as the "most inclusive and accessible yet". Throughout the week, beauty consumers will be able to connect with brands, retailers, salons, charities and e-commerce platforms to celebrate the beauty industry.

Day three of British Beauty Week has seen a number of physical and digital events take place across the country, such as workshops, shopping events, panel discussions and webinars.

A digital session on 'Driving Digital Transformation with AR/AI Beauty Tech' saw Perfect Corp and SoPost specialists explore the ways AI and AR virtual try-on will continue to drive the future of beauty retail.

British Beauty Council CEO, Mille Kendall spoke to the founder of sustainable skincare brand SBTRCT Skincare Ben Grace, who founded the brand on the principle of 'less is more’.

Heading into the evening, a '10 crucial steps to building a successful beauty business' webinar hopes to empower beauty professionals to make their business a success and discover the power of beauty.

The third day of British Beauty Week has also featured a series of in-store experiences such as a Skincare Essentials Masterclass with Louise Thomas-Minns, Radical Botany Facial at Fortnum & Mason and a variety of treatments at Space NK stores nationwide.

Millie Kendall OBE, British Beauty Council CEO, told TheIndustry.beauty: "This morning got off to a remarkable start with a Meta hosted event, 'Beyond Beauty The Power of Video'. The sold out event saw Chair Meribeth Parker open the session and heard from a variety of Meta team players as well as content creator Uche Natori.

"I had a fantastic chat with the Founder of SBTRCT Skincare Ben Grace on his Instagram LIVE, where we discussed being a brand founder and innovator in a swamped market and how Ben has really stuck to his guns with regards to the environmental stance of the brand.

"Perfect Corp, AR and AI specialists held a webinar sharing ways that new technology can enhance the user journey. 'More than a manicure' with Orly and Superdrug hit instagram in the afternoon, following a poll on Instagram where the British Beauty Council followers chose their favourite Orly nail polish colour. Roots Professional held an introduction to their brand that went exceptionally well.

"With tech and business at the forefront today we have seen sold out events that have given the industry ideas and tools for growth and technological advance."
