The Body Shop has gone live on Uber Eats in the UK, allowing customers to order products through the app for super quick delivery.

The partnership marks yet another phase of the brand's UK growth plan, expanding its distribution model to include an ultra-fast delivery in the UK for the first time.

The launch builds on a US pilot The Body Shop launched in the US market in 2020. This marks the first time, however, that the service has been rolled out in the UK.

Katie Hunter, General Manager of Uber Grocery and Retail UK, said in a LinkedIn post that the partnership was "redefining the beauty and wellness shopping experience," She added that after crunching data from a recent Beauty Week promotion on the platform, demand for the beauty category was clear.

"People really want their make-up, perfume, skincare and more delivered to the doorstep. Whether you’re craving a moment of self-care or sourcing a magic, last-minute gift for a loved one, we’ve got you covered," she commented.

This is not the only way that The Body Shop has been extending its reach beyond its own channels. Earlier this month, The Body Shop also launched on Lookfantastic – its first third-party retail partnership in the UK.

The brand shared its aim was to reach a wider audience of online beauty shoppers seeking sensorial, ethical and affordable self-care products.

The two partnerships follow a period of rebuilding for The Body Shop. Once hailed as a pioneer in sustainability, the retailer has faced rising competition and weakening consumer sentiment in recent years, culminating in its entry into administration in February 2024.

Rescued by Aurea and now led by CEO Mike Janieta, The Body Shop is also innovation for the future. This vision was exemplified by the launch of a tech-enabled flagship on Oxford Street featuring AI skin analysis and an interactive fragrance tool.

The brand appointed Shimon Kalichman as Global Brand & Communications Director in March. Kalichman brings 25 years of beauty industry experience to his new role, covering senior brand marketing and communications roles with companies such as Unilever, Estée Lauder Companies and L’Occitane Group.
