The Body Shop is opening a deli-inspired Body Butter pop-up at its Westfield Stratford store, bringing product sampling and an in-store experience to one of its top UK locations.

The Butter Shop activation will run from 17 September to 13 October, following the relaunch of the British beauty retailer’s reformulated Body Butters this month.

Designed around a traditional deli counter, the space will invite customers to explore the collection at an interactive sampling bar. Staff, dressed in deli-inspired uniforms, will guide customers through the different textures and fragrances and help them identify products suited to their skin type and preferences.

The butter theme will also feature throughout the store environment. Body Butter tubs will be displayed in fridge-style units, while butter dishes will create additional visual points within the space. Retro scales will be used to weigh products, which staff will then wrap in a style inspired by traditional deli purchases.

Selected offers will also be introduced at different points during the campaign, providing additional reasons for customers to revisit the space.

The pop-up forms part of The Body Shop’s wider effort to rebuild awareness of one of its most established product categories. First launched in 1992, Body Butter has now been reformulated with richer textures, Community Fair Trade ingredients, updated fragrances and refreshed branding.

The 11-product Body Butter range spans a variety of textures and formulations, from lighter creams to an ultra-rich balm, catering to different levels of skin dryness, from normal-to-dry through to ultra-dry skin.

The relaunch forms part of The Body Shop’s 50th-anniversary programme, which also includes its Grow Wild campaign. The campaign features Jameela Jamil, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Paloma Faith and Ashley James, supporting Body Butters alongside the updated Born Lippy range.

The activity also follows an expansion of The Body Shop’s distribution during 2026, including its first third-party retail partnership with Lookfantastic.
